Director of Palestine Hospital in Cairo discussing current problems in delivering healthcare

This is the director of the Palestine Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. The Palestine Hospital is one of many hospitals in the Middle East owned and run by the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS). Unlike most other hospitals and healthcare institutions run by the PRCS in Palestine, this particular hospital does not receive adequate funding despite the fact that it services over 100,000 Palestinian refugees living in Egypt as well as the injured from the recent Gaza massacre. The preponderance of the medical and surgical equipment in this hospital is of the antiquated "East German" variety and no longer considered standard of care. The following videos illustrate some of the problems this particular hospital faces in delivering healthcare to Gaza's injured in light of lack of funding and antiquated medical equipment.
