Chandigarh: With the withdrawal of the Essentiality certificate issued by the Punjab government to the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital, Gian Sagar has become a huge hop of closure and due to this, thousands of doctors and research students have been working under Gyan Sagar. Will be unemployed soon This information was given by the Punjab Advocate General Atul Nanda during the hearing in the High Court. Mr. Nanda told a bench of Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain that the state government would not take this institution under his (take over).
Medical Education and Research Department Secretary Mr. Vikas Pratap was also present during the hearing. According to the information, the approval certificate (EC) is required when opening a new medical college. The court said that before the completion of the academic session of the students, they should be converted into relevant medical colleges so that they can continue their studies.
Advocate Rajiv Atma Ram, appearing for the management, argued that a meeting has been convened to resolve the objections raised by Vikas Pratap. Meanwhile, an affidavit was filed by the new management of Gyan Sagar, in which the new chairman of the institute Virender Kumar claimed that the funds required for the re-operation of Gyan Sagar have been made. Apart from this, 50 lakh rupees have already been paid in the form of salaries.
